    Committee Description

    Canada’s aerospace capabilities have evolved to include world-class expertise in technology enablers such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing and encryption, additive manufacturing and robotics. This committee aims to champion and advance these disruptive and world-class ideas that will shape the future of aerospace both in Canada and around the world.

  • CIVIL AVIATION COMMITTEE

    Committee Description

    The Civil Aviation Committee considers issues regarding both domestic and international aviation safety and certification as the committee works directly with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) officials to advance the development of these regulatory frameworks

    Committee Description

    The Technology and Innovation Committee is focused on aerospace industry innovation. Members consider the development and implementation of improved aerospace technologies as well as the regulatory and economic factors that may impact these advancements.

    • R&D Funding Programs, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), NORAD Modernization
    • NRC Initiatives and Projects (Fleet Modernization, MAPLE, etc.)

    Committee Description

    The Public Procurement and Defence Committee is the AIAC forum for members with a vested interest in defence-specific operations, providing engagements with key government departments who are stakeholders in aerospace and defence procurement.

    Committee Description

    The Sustainability Committee provides a forum for AIAC members to discuss and explore important considerations related to international net-zero goals for aviation and the implications of climate change on the nature and delivery of space operations and continental defence.

    The Small Business Committee is the primary forum for members under the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) umbrella dealing in aerospace, defence and space business in Canada.
