Nominations are open for the AIAC Awards!

The most anticipated industry awards ceremony of the year, the Annual Canadian Aerospace Dinner, will be held November 5th. Four awards will be given out during the evening.

Call for nominations are now open for the James C. Floyd Award for aerospace achievement as well as the Industry Excellence Awards for Lifetime Achievement and Small Business Innovation Technology.

Marc Garneau Award

The Marc Garneau Award serves to highlight an individual or group’s extraordinary efforts towards building, supporting, and championing aerospace, thereby exemplifying the best of Canadian aerospace as a true source of pride for Canadians. Contributions, achievements and extraordinary efforts carried out in close collaboration with the industry, in support of Canadians across the country, will be especially considered for the award.

James C. Floyd Award

The James C. Floyd Award acknowledges individuals or a team that has made an outstanding contribution to the Canadian aerospace industry. This contribution may be a technological, political, entrepreneurial, research-based, policy-based or student accomplishment, of which the significance and impact warrants an exceptional level of recognition.

Industry Excellence Awards:
Lifetime Achievement

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual whose personal or professional contributions in the aerospace industry span a minimum of 25 years. This person is someone whose distinguished lifetime achievement through the exploration, development or utilization of aviation, space, or defence have led to their wide recognition as a “champion” of aerospace industry.

Small Business Innovation Technology

The Small Business Innovation Technology (SBIT) award recognizes a business that has developed advanced or innovative technologies to meet the needs of the aerospace industry in Canada or globally. These achievements have contributed to making Canada a strong and rapidly growing innovation economy and made a positive impact in the industry and community.
