  • Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame - 40th Annual Induction Ceremony & Gala Dinner
    May 30, 2013: Ottawa, ON

    Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame (CAHF) will induct four new members, and honor a Belt of Orion recipient, at its 40th annual gala dinner and ceremony. The new members are: Victor R. Bennett, former Innotech Aviation chief executive; James “Stocky” Edwards, WWII RCAF fighter pilot and command leader; Joseph Fernand “Frank” Henley, former executive of Maritime Central Airways, Nordair and Hydro Quebec; and, John Sandford, former president of de Havilland Canada. Canadian Pacific Air Lines Ltd. will be presented with the Belt of Orion award.

    CAHF inductees are selected for their contributions to Canada’s development through their integral roles in the nation’s aviation history. This year’s inductees will join the ranks of the 208 esteemed men and women inducted since the hall’s formation in 1973.

  • Abbotsford Aerospace, Defence & Security EXPO
    August 7-8, 2013: Abbotsford, BC

    The 2013 Aerospace, Defence and Security Expo will be held in Abbotsford, BC on August 7th and 8th 2013. The event includes a conference program with keynote speakers, including senior government and OEM presenters. There will be two luncheons with speakers, two evening networking events, and a networking breakfast with keynote speaker, a trade show, business-to-business one-on-one meetings and international Trade Commissioner meetings. Located at the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (TRADEX), adjacent to the Abbotsford International Airport, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the internationally-renowned Abbotsford International Airshow as a backdrop to this event. The event is being led by the Abbotsford International Airport and Cascade Aerospace, and is receiving valuable support and assistance from our national associations, AIAC and CADSI, as well as all levels of government.   • AUVSI - Unmanned Systems 2013
    August 13-15, 2013: Washington, DC

    AUVSI 2013 is the world’s largest conference, exhibition and trade show in the area of unmanned vehicle systems. Organized by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International’s (AUVSI), Unmanned Systems 2013 is bringing together an extensive display of robotic and unmanned systems technology including air, ground, maritime (surface and underwater), space, and related components. AUVSI is collaborating with the U.S. Commercial Service in Canada to bring a Canadian delegation to Unmanned Systems 2013, taking place in Washington D.C. from August 13-15, 2012.

    Members of the U.S. Commercial Service in Canada’s delegation will receive:

    • A free Exhibit Hall Only pass per participant (a saving of $299 per participant)
    • Free access to the exhibit hall and the daily general or key note sessions for all three days* **
    • Invitation to attend the opening night social event*
    • Access to a visitors lounge for private meetings*

    *Provided that our Canadian delegation is larger than 15 participants.
    **Delegates wishing to attend the education sessions will have to pay a separate registration fee starting at $550 per person.

  • Aerospace Innovation Forum
    December 2-4, 2013: Montreal, QC

    Aéro Montréal, the Québec Aerospace Cluster, in collaboration with CRIAQ, is organizing the fourth edition of the Aerospace Innovation Forum. More than 1000 participants, 60 speakers, and 100 companies from more than 15 countries will be in attendance. The program includes conferences, workshops, B2B technology meetings, innovation exhibit and more:

    • The best practices in design, manufacturing, exploitation and disposal of products of the aerospace industry.
