Incorporated in 1970, Viking Air Limited is a proudly Canadian world-class aerospace company and manufacturer of the Twin Otter Series 400, the best-selling 19-passenger twin-engine utility turboprop aircraft available today. The Viking Twin Otter Series 400 received Transport Canada type certification in 2010, and to date, over 125 Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft have been sold to 29 countries worldwide.

In October 2016, Viking acquired Bombardier’s Amphibious Aircraft program, including the CL-415 aerial firefighter and its CL-215 and CL-215T predecessors. The acquisition included transfer of the Type Certificates for all variants of the amphibious aircraft to Viking, along with regulatory responsibility for product support, parts manufacture and in-service engineering support for the fleet of 170 aerial firefighters operating worldwide.

In addition to the CL-215, CL-215T and CL-415 amphibious aircraft variants, Viking is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the legacy fleet of de Havilland Canada heritage aircraft (DHC-1 through DHC-7), and fully supports the global fleet with factory new spare parts manufacture, in-service engineering, technical support, fleet tracking, technical publications, field service support and warranty administration.

Viking services a wide-ranging and diverse customer base from over 150,000 square feet of parts manufacturing, large component assembly and aircraft maintenance/modification facilities at Victoria International Airport, and a second 70,000 square foot aircraft final assembly facility at Calgary International Airport. Viking employs a workforce of 430 personnel between the two Canadian facilities.
