Thales Avionics Canada is the North American subsidiary of Thales Avionics and the Thales Group Competence Centre for the development of flight controls for regional and business aircraft. In close relationship with aircraft manufacturers, we bring over 30 years of experience in the development, integration and certification of critical systems, which must meet the highest security and reliability standards to ensure flight safety. This experience provides us with unmatched expertise as demonstrated by our successful developments on some of the most innovative aircraft programs in the world. Our main customers are major regional and business aircraft manufacturers such as Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna and Embraer to whom we offer the entire range of Thales Group avionics systems.
Fly-by-wire flight control technology offers substantial benefits in terms of flight safety,
aircraft reliability and weight savings compared to legacy systems. It allows for greater flexibility in cockpit design and provides much improved handling qualities, making it a keynote feature of every new aircraft design, whether fixed or rotary wing.
Using unique and dedicated tools, Thales’ development teams provide proven methods that enable clients to reduce their overall risks and enhance their rapid prototyping capabilities.
Thales’ fly-by-wire solutions equip a wide range of aircrafts designed and manufactured all over the world; they are featured on the Gulfstream G500, G600, and G650, the Bombardier CRJ700 and its CRJ900 and CRJ1000 derivatives, as well as the Global 5000 & Global 6000, the Airbus A320, and the Cessna Citation Longitude.
