The company manufactures large aerospace aluminium structures for the commercial and general aviation industry. Sonaca Montreal is recognized for its technological achievements in the forming of complex wing and empennage structures using shot peening. Its technologies allow its customers to benefit in cost and weight savings compared to conventional assembled structures. The company owns one of the world’s largest computer-controlled shot peen machine, capable of saturating and pre-forming structures up to 70 feet long by 10 feet wide.
